3D Class S2 Class 02 Resurfacing, Map Baking, And Substance Painter

This week, our task was to take last week's knife and add textures with Substance Painter.

First I took the exported model from Fusion 360 into ZBrush for decimation. Then I brought it over to Maya to for resurfacing into a low poly mesh



Then I UVed both the low res and decimated hi res models to bring them into Substance. I ended up having a lot of trouble with baking my high res mesh onto my low res. Still, I continued texturing.


The story behind my knife is that it's highly valuable and would probably be owned by a very wealthy person. It would be the kind of knife that's only for looking at, not using.
