3D Week 06 UV and Digital Sculpting for a Prop

This week was a continuation of working on the cannon. We were provided a low res version of the cannon model and had to create UVs, create a high res version of the model, and then take it into ZBrush where we would play with the mesh to make it look older and weathered.

  1. UV's and Maya work looks really nice. We need to work on the balance between large, medium and small detail distribution. Looks like there could still be some finer noise on the cannon as well as some smaller cracks here and there. A few more descriptive chips on the edges with trim dynamic would have helped as well.

  2. Also looks like the decimation is rather high, model should be around 1 - 1.5 million polyss
